Frontier mulch finishers are equipped with vibrating S-tines that help to achieve uniform tillage depth when using one of three distinct ground management systems.
Depth of ground engagement on the S-tines can be adjusted with the simple pin system.
Chisel spikes break up compacted soil. Because the chisel spikes pull through soil with less draft, fuel consumption is less over each pass, reducing costs. The tips are reversible, giving longer life.
NOTE: See John Deere web Parts catalog for chisel spikes part number.
The 22.9-cm (9-in.) Frontier™ mulch finisher sweeps are best for repeat food or garden plots where the soil is loose.
Sweeps are excellent for weed control and provide increased residue levels on the surface while providing superior scouring and penetration.
NOTE: See John Deere web Parts catalog for sweeps part number.
Turning points offer greater ground penetration through heavy residue, grass, or tough ground cover. Turning points break up soil compaction while turning over soil to bury residue.
NOTE: See John Deere web Parts catalog for turning points part number.
As an additional option for the MF Series Mulch Finisher, attach the rolling basket for superior leveling. The rolling basket follows the mulch finisher to give a smooth, planting-ready seedbed.
Kits for MF1204, MF1204P, MF1206, MF1208, MF2204, MF2206, and MF2208 Mulch Finishers
The rolling basket field conversion attachment can be added to further condition the seedbed. It includes an aggressive, slat-type rolling basket to break up clods and move soil. Downforce is provided by two springs that attach to the mainframe.
The rolling basket follows the mulch finisher to give a smooth, planting-ready seedbed.
