Customer Appreciation Days and a Day of Play
Published on June 06, 2022Our customers, our communities, and our teams are the most valuable part of our business. When we have the chance to bring these three together to celebrate, learn, and grow, it’s always a good time. This summer we are excited to finally bring back our Customer Appreciation Dinners and add a new event in our Grand Forks location!
The Return of Customer Appreciation Dinners
Fish fry and steak feeds have been a long-standing tradition at True North Equipment. A time we can offer personal thanks, celebrate, collaborate, and take a breath from the day-to-day stresses we all face. So much can be learned, new ideas generated and heard from our valued customers and even future customers. Nothing better than fellowship, great food, and sharing successes as a team!
As in previous years, we will have food, beverages, door prizes, and good times! Time for fellowship, learning what’s new in the John Deere, Ag, and True North worlds, and celebrating our customers’ successes over the year.
This year’s Customer Appreciation Dinners will consist of a rib feed, all ages welcome, and will be held from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on the following dates, in the following locations:
- June 16th in Kennedy, MN
- June 28th in Grand Forks, ND at the IMPACT Center for the Grand Forks, Northwood, and Warren communities
- July 7th in Grafton, ND
- July 14th in Thief River Falls, MN
- July 19th in Mahnomen, MN
- July 28th in Baudette, MN
“We graciously welcome our customers to True North Equipment and with humble thanks, we appreciate the opportunity to work with you each day, solve the challenges put forward and be your Trusted Partner in your field” - John Oncken C.E.O.
The First Annual Day of Play
Day of Play is a kid-friendly event, that introduces children of all ages to Agriculture and its importance for our customers and communities. We will have plenty of activities to keep all ages busy from a Kids (toy) Gator Ride-N-Drive course, a fishing pond, coloring station, corn pool, bean bag toss, tractor rides, and MORE!
From John Oncken, “Any time we can connect closer with our customer base, community, and youth, we foster greater interaction, learning, and just plain fun!”
Rachel Kmecik, VP of Aftermarket & Human Resources adds, “We are very passionate in our True North Equipment Mission and Vision to improve our communities through sharing our John Deere knowledge, ag education, having fun with our community families, setting examples of hard work, and working together to empower kids for success. Our True North Equipment team is looking forward to engaging with families, their children, and John Deere fans alike!”
The True North Day of Play is being piloted in our Grand Forks location, with plans to expand out to all our locations in the coming years. Day of Play will be held on June 22nd, 2022 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
Connecting With Our Customers
Taking a break from the normal course of business is essential to our success as a community partner and we take the time to say Thank You and offer a view of a different side of the True North Team. We hold our Values (John Deere Value, Trust, Quality, Partnership, Commitment, and Integrity) very close to our hearts and we pay it forward at events like these.
"We are excited to visit with everyone and continue to strengthen customer relationships in the communities we live and work in. We invite everyone to join us with gratitude and can’t wait to see everyone." - Rachel Kmecik
In addition to these events, True North Equipment emphasizes supporting the individual communities we serve in various ways, as part of our overall Mission to Empower customer success, inspire our team, and improve our communities.
