Q&A TECH TALK Intern to Full-Time Tech

You can reach out and find plenty of information about the John Deere Technician Program on our blogs, virtual tour guides on the North Dakota State College of Science website, and handouts at Career Fairs. In this “Q & A Tech Talk,” we ask JD Tech Program graduates Matt Benson and Luke Aipperspach questions about their experiences in the program and how it lead them into their long-standing careers at True North Equipment.

True North Equipment is happy to provide students paid tuition for the John Deere Technician program at NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND and guaranteed job placement after graduation. We're looking for self-motivated individuals with a passion for people and the ag equipment industry, who are interested in advancements in Agricultural Equipment Technology.

About The Program

The John Deere Tech Program is designed to advance the skill level of new John Deere service technicians and prepare them to excel in today's high tech, fast-paced field of agriculture mechanization. Students will gain valuable, practical insight and real-world experience by applying what they've learned at True North Equipment.

The program curriculum - designed by John Deere and NDSCS- addresses the full range of technological advances across John Deere's agricultural and turf equipment.

How It Works

Students enrolling in the John Deere Tech Program will receive 100% paid tuition each semester and paid on-the-job training while working at their sponsoring dealership.

Students who complete the six semester program are awarded an Associate of Applied Science degree and have an opportunity to leave the program with their John Deere hydraulic, electrical/electronics and Service ADVISOR certifications in hand and a job waiting for them.

To be considered for the John Deere Tech Program at North Dakota State College of Science, request and complete the application package by contacting the NDSCS Office of Admissions. For True North Equipment sponsorship, complete the application located on our careers (Diesel Technician Internship) page, a member of our Human Resources team will reach out to you following the completion of the application.
